4Assist has experience in agricultural and rural development policy formulation and rationalisation of the regulatory framework. Our associates have also substantial experience in specific thematic areas such as food security and food safety, sanitary and phyto-sanitary measures, animal health and welfare, livestock sector development, and water supply and irrigation.
We have worked extensively in this area in Armenia, Georgia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
4Assist has significant experience in Public Administration reform, which is a complementary theme to PFM. Our associates have advised both Central Government as well as commercial Publicly Owned Enterprises (POE).
Technical work includes advice on restructuring and reengineering, conduct of functional analyses and reviews and introduction of performance management systems.
The process of restructuring, rationalization and, eventual privatisation of the Greek flag Carrier Olympic Airlines was organised and managed by 4Assist key associates. Among the tasks undertaken was the fiscal impact analysis of absorbing a certain portion of existing Olympic Airlines personnel to the wider public service, as well as forecasting the expected revenue to be gained by the operation of a financially viable carrier.
In addition, our associates have implemented projects in this field in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
4Assist is involved in a broad range of themes in the field of economic development.
We have extensive experience in assisting developing countries and countries in transition with formulating their growth strategies and / or poverty reduction strategies. Many of our key associates have advised governments on how to develop capacity for macro-economic modelling and growth forecasting.
