The EU Delegation to the Pacific launched this project to support the improvement of accountability and transparency in public finance management in Pohnpei State of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), by providing assistance to Pohnpei Office of the Public Auditor (POPA).

Our associate senior expert Gurdip Bhambra implemented successfully the Project and was awarded with highest appreciation of POPA high-level management and personnel.

The technical assistance and capacity building efforts of Mr Bhambra covered: (i) improvement and updating of the legislative and strategic development frameworks; (II) support to strengthen audit management, including development of practical tools and manuals to conduct and manage external audits; (iii) enhance POPA collaboration with key stakeholders, including with the Legislative and Executive Branches of Public Administration.
