Dec. 2018. 4Assist partner Yiannis Hadziyiannakis together with 4Assist associate Fred Mear delivered a 5-day training course in The Gambia on Public Financial Management Systems & Principles (3-7 December). The course was funded by the European Union. The training sessions were attended by up to 28 participants from the Ministry of Finance & Economic Affairs (MoFEA), several line ministries and statutory agencies such as the tax authority and public procurement regulator, as well as the National Audit Office of The Gambia. The course was highly energised by the active participation and enthusiasm of all participants. Yiannis and Fred would like to extend their gratitude to the Deputy Permanent Secretary of MoFEA Mr. Ansumana L.N. Touray and the Director of Public Financial Management Mrs Amie Kolleh Jeng for their inspired leadership during the five days of the course and for offering us a flavour of Gambian hospitality!
